·¬ÇÑÉçÇø (MSJC) celebrated a heartwarming milestone on June 18, hosting the first-ever graduation ceremony for its Child Development & Education Center (CDEC) at the San Jacinto Campus Theater. The event honored 38 Pre-K graduates, marking a joyful and emotional day for students, families, and staff.

In a heartwarming display of determination, perseverance, support, and love, a mother and son duo achieved a significant milestone by graduating together. Isabel and Gabriel Bugarin are walking today, both receiving associate degrees. Isabel's began her journey at MSJC in 1999 but didn't last long. During the pandemic, access to online education motivated her to explore opportunities and she re-enrolled. "I'm glad we have online classes. With my family, I'm able to work on my schoolwork on my time and focus on kids without having the stress of going to class."

For many students, community college provides a unique opportunity to explore different fields of study, develop essential skills, and prepare for transfer, or launching a career. For Glenda Dixson, MSJC was a place where she was transformed.

As we approach the end of the 2022-2023 academic year, I want to share my observations of you, our ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø students. You are determined, creative and bright. You have truly made a difference on our campuses and in shaping your own futures and I thank you for choosing MSJC to achieve your educational goals.

·¬ÇÑÉçÇø's LGBTQIA+ Taskforce celebrated seven graduating and transfer students at its Inaugural Lavender Celebration on May 5, 2023, at the San Jacinto Campus. Lavender graduation events offer space to honor the achievements of LGBTQIA+ students.

The Mt. San Jacinto Community College District (·¬ÇÑÉçÇø/MSJC) and the San Jacinto Unified School District (SJUSD) are excited to announce a partnership to launch the San Jacinto Middle College High School, a program that is intended to provide a seamless pathway for students from high school to community college.

·¬ÇÑÉçÇø (MSJC) was the recipient of two significant grants focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA). The California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office awarded MSJC the Native American Student Support and Success Program (NASSSP) grant and the Culturally Responsive Pedagogy & Practices; Innovative Best Practices (CRPP IBP) grant.

Flight is MSJC's anthology of students' written and visual work. It includes poetry, essays, photography, and artwork. It is published every spring semester.

·¬ÇÑÉçÇø (MSJC) was named Large Business of the Year during the 44th Menifee Valley Chamber Awards Gala: Unlock the Secret Garden.

·¬ÇÑÉçÇø (MSJC) hosted its 20th annual TRIO Upward Bound and Talent Search graduation ceremony to celebrate the achievements of the program's high school seniors on Saturday, April 29. More than 100 students and their families attended the TRIO Senior Recognition Celebration at the San Jacinto Campus library.

·¬ÇÑÉçÇø (MSJC) held its annual State of the College event on Friday, April 28 at the Menifee Valley Campus, bringing together the community to reflect on the college’s accomplishments over the past three years and its plans for the future. This was the first in-person State of the College hosted by MSJC in three years, due to the pandemic closures.
